Start is in Scottsdale where we will wind through cacti and boulders to Tom's Thumb Trailhead, then up to Carefree, across Cave Creek to the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve before heading back to our start. Estimated elevation is 2300' most within the first half of the ride. Route is primarily bike lanes with scattered, secluded areas where we will ride on the traffic lane. Arrive at 5:00 for a 5:15 start. Finish time estimate is 9:30-10:00 based on 15 mph average speed. Sag support provided by Fountain Hills Bikes. Rest stops at 15 and 35 miles.
